- Cyrus from a family under her House protection
- has known him since childhood
- realized early on that she was praised for all the things she never wanted
- also realized it made Helene resent her
- also saw that politics were just that: politics
- not fond of politics and the way things are played and how you have to act, prefers simpler means of living
- slowly became more quiet and subdued in nature
- still a very smiley girl with a lot going on in her head, she just doesn't share it with many people
- does tell Cyrus, though even with him she only talks briefly and shortly
- he still seems to get her
- the more withdrawn she became the more Cyrus began to speak and act for her at small gestures
- could probably go far in the military, has no real desire to
- enjoys the cavalry and the fighting
- very skilled fighter, practices often
- willing to do things no one else is in battles, makes her unpredictable and difficult to pin down - very big threat in battle
- doesn't want to be queen, but even if Helene had been 25 they would have only sent Kyra
- more trying to find someone she thinks should be queen, then offer her aid there
